1. the phrase “with a flickering-blind magnetic north” is perfect: the rhythm of it, the closed and open vowels, the meaning frankly couched within the words without being too obvious.

    1. Hi John, thanks for taking the time to read and browse through the blog. We’re doing well here, very busy and the Autumn weather is splendidly bright and cool. I’m overwhelmed with copy editing work at the moment but when I remember to look around what’s there truly repays close attention. So glad to hear that you’re doing well!
