Thanks for the link Bonnie. Lovely and very moving poem. I love the bit about how everyone says what not to do instead of what you can strive to do. I found singing to my son who has high functioning autism, very useful and enjoyable for both of us. When he first when to an intensive early intervention program, most of the kids could not speak at all – my son was the only one who would sing. Most of them were singing by the end of the year 🙂 Here is a poem I wrote about Michael http://gabriellebryden.wordpress.com/2009/07/06/message-to-michael/ Cheers Gabrielle
DANCEFLOOR OF ALL SWORDS
Make a move
Sings the muse
To the seated ghost
Move the make-up
Whistles the song
To the muse
Round and round
Fly the sound
Large and small
Equal in a kiss
